Welcome to the central hub for reporting all Marina Monster activity in Marina del Rey and the larger Santa Monica Bay area. Paddleboarders, kayakers, sailors, and shoreline strollers all contribute to our ongoing investigation. Notice: Authorities expect possible increased activity during the Marina Monster Paddle Parade & Costume Contest on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, 6:00 PM marked by the emergence of ghoulies, ghosties, and other disguised figures assembling on paddlecraft.
File a Sighting Report
When submitting your report, please be prepared to share as much detail as possible, including but not limited to:
What: Tentacles, pirate hats, unexplained ripples, glowing eyes, or other irregular maritime activity.
When: Exact date/time of your sighting (sunrise, sunset, suspicious tide shifts).
Where: Basin D, Mother’s Beach, near the jetty, or any other specific location in Marina del Rey.
Who: Known associates (rogue paddleboarders, mysterious kayak captains).
Other Details: Smells of seaweed, echoing pirate shanties, or sudden gusts of cursed wind.

Authorities expect increased activity Wednesday, October 29, 2025, 6:00 PM during Pro SUP Shop’s annual Marina Monster Paddle Parade & Costume Contest.
Marina Monster Associates may appear in disguise and are scheduled to assemble in Marina del Rey for a coordinated sunset cruise parading past yachts & local wildlife as part of an organized ongoing yearly attempt to draw him out of hiding.
Additional post-paddle activities are expected with costume contest.
Participation in the Marina Monster Paddle Parade requires confirmed paddlecraft. Reserve a board or kayak through Pro SUP Shop, or bring your own to join the fleet.
